I first took interest in photography during my teenage years in Kenya and would become fascinated watching the foreign tourists with their 35mm SLR cameras and telephoto lenses shooting wildlife at the Masai Mara game reserve and Lake Nakuru national park.

 

Born in Kenya to Indian parents. I grew up in the Great Rift valley province and Narok County on the outskirts of the Masai Mara in Kenya. My late parents came from the Saurashtra region in the Gujarat state, India.

 

After completing high school in Nairobi, I emigrated to the United Kingdom in my late teens where I would reside for many years. Having lived and worked in 5 countries, I have been a electrician in Kenya, CNC machine technician in England, geography and multimedia teacher in India, poultry farmer and tropical fish breeder in Suriname, and a Rotogravure printer/laminator in the Netherlands. I am currently settled in the Netherlands for over two decades with my family.

 

I am now retired, photography and being in studio has become part of life for me.

  

I very much enjoy listening to heavy metal & rock music, attending concerts, travelling, learning different cultures, languages and cuisines and reading real-life biographies.
